RX Individuals (40/20 spots)

RX athlete is one that can handle anything seen on the main site, and likely placed in the top 150-200 in their Region during the Open and/or qualified for Regionals. This athlete is likely among the top 10 performers at their gym. They are proficient at all the complicated and technical movements and they have superior work capacity…i.e. they can move significant loads and perform complicated movements with relative ease. Furthermore, this athlete knows how to strategize a workout.

Intermediate Individuals (40/20 spots)

Intermediate athlete is proficient at most, if not all, common main site movements, but probably still struggles with one or two of the more technical/difficult movements (eg. muscle-ups, handstand push-ups) yet can "possibly" perform them. This athlete finds themselves, in a typical week or month of training, slightly scaling or modifying the Rx WOD at their gym 10%-15% of the time…scaling the WOD to about 50% of the Rx WOD. This athlete is likely among the top 10-20 performers at their gym.

Scaled Individuals (40/20 spots)

Scaled athlete is proficient at some but not all, common main site movements, but probably still struggles with multiple technical/difficult movements (eg. chest to bar pull ups, handstand push-ups) yet "might" be able perform them in small amounts (1-2 reps). This athlete finds themselves, in a typical week or month of training, slightly scaling or modifying the Rx WOD at their gym 25% of the time…scaling the WOD to about 80-90% of the Rx WOD. This athlete is likely among the top half of performers at their gym.

RX Teams (20 spots)

Four athletes with two men and two women that can handle anything seen on the main site, and likely placed in the top 150-200 in the 2015 Open and/or qualified for Regionals. These athletes are likely among the top 3-5 performers at their gym. They are proficient at all the complicated and technical movements and they have superior work capacity…i.e. they can move significant loads and perform complicated movements with relative ease. Many teams may have a mix of athletes that would be considered RX and Intermediate.

Intermediate (20 spots)

This a combination of four athletes with two men and two women that may consist of intermediate individuals. They might be proficient at most, if not all, common main site movements, but probably still struggles with one or two of the more technical/difficult movements (eg. muscle-ups, handstand push-ups). This athlete finds themselves, in a typical week or month of training, slightly scaling or modifying the Rx WOD at their gym 25% of the time…scaling the WOD to about 80-90% of the Rx WOD. This athlete is likely among the top half of the performers at their gym.

Scaled Teams (20 spots)

This new division consists of FOUR (2 Men/ 2 Women) Scaled athletes who are proficient at some but not all, common main site movements, but probably still struggles with multiple technical/difficult movements (eg. chest to bar pull ups, handstand push-ups) yet "might" be able perform them in small amounts (1-2 reps). This athlete finds themselves, in a typical week or month of training, slightly scaling or modifying the Rx WOD at their gym 25% of the time…scaling the WOD to about 80-90% of the Rx WOD. There challenges will be fun but will be designed to push teams to develop skills to help them develop and grow into the next level!
